Four months ago we saw BAIT and Asics release their Model-001 in the Gel Lyte III "Vanquish". Featuring a custom camo print designed by BAIT themselves, blended between a black nailhead suede, mixed in with wire-mesh, waxed laces and a red outsole with matching eyelets, Bait and Asics created a model that was sure to stand out and make the uncommon materials used on the silloutte seem a bit more modern. They continued to impress us with the Model-002 "Gaurdian" with their use of a nailhead suede frame and waxed laces, blended with custom camo print underlaying more use of the wire-mesh as its acts as a suit of armor. The Model-002 also introduced the use of 3M seen in a hexagon pattern found on the front of the toe-box, between the Asics logo, and on the heel. Now the time has finally come for Bait x Asics to release their last Model-003 in the Gel Lyte III.
Dubbed "Nippon Blues" this version of the GL3 is sure to stand out. It's the only pair from the pack not given the custom camo treatment. Its primarily a navy blue upper (nailhead suede?) with with polka dots in the design. It looks like these also may have a couple pairs of waxed laces included. The outsole also looks split between colors as opposed to the solid color outsoles that stood out on the previous models.
